Join us at Marine Park in Fairhaven to cheer your favorite racers, and experience the excitement as kayakers run up the beach to ring the finish line bell at the Ski to Sea 2011!!!

Plan to attend the New Awards Celebration which is an event in itself! Beginning at 5:30pm, the Celebration will be a High-Energy experience that attendees will never forget!

Music will fill Marine Park as winning teams and racers are called ON-STAGE to receive their awards!

Top Gun Awards-New this year will be the Top Gun Awards that are being made by local recreational and sporting companies in Whatcom County. These awards will be in display during May at Peoples Bank in Barkley Village. Awards Stage Sponsored by Xfinity.

Enjoy the bands as you wander through vendor booths featuring food, drink and more! Visit the Race Results booth to follow along with constantly-revised leg results.

Want a T-shirt? Ski to Sea 2011 Tech-Shirts and official Race Posters will be for sale.
The top three teams in each category will receive plaques and medals, and exclusive Top Gun awards will be presented to the fastest man and woman in each leg.


Also, help celebrate our rich talent from right here in Whatcom County as the EXCITING NEW Whatcom County Cups are awarded to the winning men’s, women’s and mixed Whatcom County Teams.

All Participants
Will receive an Official Ski to Sea T-Shirt

1st Place
The overall winning team members each win a travel pass on Alaska Airlines* along with The Herald Trophy, which was first awarded in 1911 at the Mt Baker Marathon.

All Divisions
1st, 2nd & 3rd Place winners will receive plaques.

Corporate Division

1st, 2nd & 3rd Place winners will receive plaques for all Team members, a plaque to reside at the sponsoring organization and an additional T-shirt for the sponsor.
Whatcom County Awards

This perpetual trophy will be awarded to the overall winners in the Whatcom County Divisions for Open, Women’s and Mixed teams. The trophy will have the winning team's names on the trophy for the winning year.

It will be housed at the winning sponsor’s place of business or at the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce & Industry for viewing.

Individual Leg Winners "Top Guns”


Awards presented to the fastest male and female for each leg of the race. All this AND spectators have a chance to get some race goodies of their own as prizes are thrown into the crowd!
