| Racer Profile: Kit Vonnegut Role: Captain of Team, and canoeist Team: Mount Baker Club Age: 99 years...oh, you mean ME! Ha Ha 64 years old A group of club members thought it would be a hoot to enter a team in the Big Race. This was the 2000 Ski to Sea. One member of that year's team, Kit Vonnegut, made a commitment to field a team each year until the Club's centennial in the year 2011. If you didn't know, the Mount Baker Club was formed in 1911 to help stage the Mount Baker Marathon that same year. What has kept you together as a team for so long now? Beer and potlucks, mostly. |
