Title:  Racing the wrong way
Description:The moral of the story...have a great attitude regardless and have fun.

City:Bellingham       State:WA
Her Story:
I grabbed a deal on Ebay, 3 pin boots and skis for the x-country leg. I was 1/4 the way through the race when the boot seperated at the pin. I tried skiing on one ski but crashed going down, losing the other boot. A volunteer instructed me to " keep going" so I finished the race on foot (not an easy task) even passing some skiers. The good news was that my team got to finish their legs but we were still disqualified. However, the boot story lives on and good equipment really is essential.
